Bad nightmare

I was at the Sear's Parts store returning some air filters that had been intended for my Mother-inLaw, but which had lost their encounter with the fine folks in the Brown trucks.

A friendly discussion was in progress about the Electoral College and how it was/wasn't a good thing. I listened with interest but declined to contribute. At the end one of the participants said, "I'll leave you with this little tidbit of potentially bad news. If, heaven forbid, something should happen to [President Unicorn] that would make Joe Biden POTUS, and do you know who would be VPOTUS? The Honorable Nancy Pelosi that's who, think about it."

So I did,and now my stomach hurts.

Handy dandy Guide to Firearm Recongnition

Handy firearms recognition chart for journalists.

Thanks and a tip of the Ol' Barracks Cover to Tam who pointed us to the
The Arizona Rifleman's site. Thank you both.

Lies, lies and more lies.

" 'Gun Free School Zone' is a lie every bit as much as 'Arbeit Macht Frei' ".

Socialized Medicine in Canada Bites

Unlike what Michale Moore's scripted pean to Socialized medicine would lead you to believe, the reality of the Canadian system is less than pleasant.

This is a must see.

California's Speaker of the Assembly doesn't get it

My very first blog post, I'm actually kind of embarrassed to live in California because our legislature is so brain damaged. The Speaker Ms. Bass answered the following question:
"How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature's work?"

With the following absurd statement.

The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: "You vote for revenue and your career is over." I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it's about free speech, but it's extremely unfair.

I see, so it's now Terrorism for radio talk show hosts to suggest that Assembly members who vote for higher taxes ('revenue' is Liberalese for taxes) be voted out of office.

As usual the Liberals attempt to demonize those who disagrees with them, since they are the holders of the "One True knowledge" and anyone who thinks differently is evil and willfully wrong.
